Frequently Asked Questions

How do we book you for our ceremony?

Let’s see if we’re a good fit for each other! We’ll meet in person over a cuppa (my shout) or have a chat over facetime and get to know each other.

Then to secure your date for 2023 or beyond, you pay a 30% non refundable booking fee. I can start planning your ceremony to be as fabulous as you are. So get in touch, I can’t wait to meet you!

I’m overwhelmed and don’t know where to start?

I’m very creative and full of ideas, I also have a fantastic Ceremony Builder Booklet that we will go through to make sure you’re ceremony connects with you.

What do I need to do in regards to the legal side?

I’m walk you through the legal paperwork and requirements and make it clear and easy, that’s what I’m trained to do!

We will start with the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) which I register on your behalf at the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages. The NOIM is required at least one month before the ceremony day, I find that 3-4 months is the best time. We can meet, get it done and you just have to provide your i.d. and sign.

I will guide you through the other legal required paperwork to complete on the day of the ceremony.

Do we need a P.A. ?

If the wedding is for ten people or more then you will need a P.A. system. I have a fantastic system with microphone that I can provide. Your ceremony music can play through the system with Blue tooth.

Do you register our marriage after the ceremony

Absolutely! I will give you a commemorative marriage certificate at the ceremony once you are officially hitched. If you would like an official marriage certificate from the Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages, I can get it sorted for you at a cost of $68 which is what BDM charges plus a $30 administrative fee.

How do I change my name?

You can use your new name as soon as you get married! But you can’t update your name on any accounts until the official marriage certificate arrives.

It’s a bit time consuming because you need to contact each company where you have an account directly to ask what their name change process is.

You’ll need to send off a bunch of forms, letters and emails, plus make some calls, log into your accounts. The more accounts and identification you have the longer it takes.

No one likes paperwork and waiting on hold, so I recommend Easy Name Change. Just check off the companies you need to notify and they will send you a custom pack of forms, letters and emails. Just attach your marriage certificate and send!
